CHANGE THE ORDER

CREATING LINKS
All registered clients log in on our website, by clicking “Log In” in the right upper corner.
Place https://www.thedigitalconcierge.com in the favourites of your browser.

User details
- E-Mail: contains the e-mailaddress used for log in
- Password: here you can enter/modify the password used for logging in. Should contain 8 characters at minimum.
- First name & Last name: please keep the details up-to-date for the person who is the contact for this account.
Invoice details
Fill out all requested details. Hereunder, about some fields you find extra information.
- Company: formal name of your company (or the legal entity name).
- VAT-number: the tax registration or VAT-number of your company. A DUNS-number can also be entered. If not applicable in your country, then leave open. In some countries tax laws demand that we put the registration of your entity on the invoice.
- State: only if commonly applicable in your country (e.g. USA).
- Phone number: use international format (e.g. [“+””countrycode””number”], like +31202610979).
- Website: copy the link of your website or browser in this field, or when manually entered, always start with “http://” or “https://” (e.g. https://www.example.com).
Always click “SUBMIT” button when information has been added/changed.
3. CO-USERS
(This information will not appear in your app.)
Maintaining you app(s)with more people, more employees? Or you have your trusted web-manager taking care of the app?
As ‘main user’ you can invite others to maintain your app. Invite another person, then click ‘Add New’. Just enter the e-mailaddress, the first- and lastname, and the person will receive an invitation to register with her/his own credentials.
You like to cancel the co-user? Simply click on the delete symbol.
Always click “SUBMIT” button when information has been added/changed.
4. APPS
Click “Apps” and your app(s) will appear. Click on the name of the accommodation to enter the content manager of the app.
In case you like to create your first app or a new app, click ‘Add New’
Information
- Downloads: number of downloads of this app
- App code:* This is the code you share with guests. You can change this code to your liking (max. 8 characters digits & letters).
- Name:** Name of your accommodation.
- Phone:** Phone number where you can be reached for guests (in int’l format [chose the correct flag/country, enter the telephonenumber without the countrycode].
- E-mail:** E-mailaddress on which you can reached by guests.
- Website:** Of your accommodation. Please use the full URL (always starting with http:// or https:// or copy the URL from your browser.
- Address:** Street address of your accommodation (type: housenumber, streetname, city). After entering the address, you will see the position on the map. See more information about entering the address hereunder.
* Important: Keep the frequency of changing the app code as low as possible.
** The information you put here, will be visible in the app (the green buttons).
ADD/MODIFY IMAGES
For the first and second screen of your app, you can upload an image in PNG or JPG format.
Start image: a portrait format image. To get the best result, select an image of at least 640 x 1096 pixels, maximum size: 2732 x 2048 pixels. In general a PNG or JPG of around 1Mb will have a good result.
Info image: is the second image which will appear in the second (introduction) page of your app and will be on top of the Amenities screen. The format for this image is “landscape”. Best result is a minimum of 588 x 288, maximum size: 2048 x 2732 pixels.
Adding or changing a picture
Have an image ready on your computer, click on the paperclip symbol to select the image file.
Always click “SUBMIT” button when information has been added/changed.
In case it is not possible to map your accommodation by streetaddress (unknown in GoogleMaps), there are two possibilities:
1. Can your accommodation be found by its registered name on GoogleMaps?
In that case enter the exact name by which your accommodation is known to Google and the (nearby) city/village. You will see the position on the map.
2. Do you know the GPS-coordinates of the accommodation?
In the ‘address’ part, enter the name of the city or (nearby) village (in general the approximate address. Then enter the GPS coordinates (Latitude & Longitude). Just wait a few seconds please, as our is calibrating the position. Then you should see the location of your location on the map.
You can always proceed with entering information in your app to take care later for positioning your accommodation. In case you need help, please contact us.
AMENITIES
In Amenities you can share information about the services you give to guests.
To add a new item in Amenities
- Click on “ADD NEW“
- Title: give a title for the item (e.g. “Check in” or “WiFi”)
- Description: Give the description for this item

- I: Italics
- ●-: Bullet list with dots
- 1-: Bullet list with digits
- ⍬: Link symbol: you can create a link to a website, YouTube, Vimeo, GoogleDocs, DropBox and much more.
6. DIRECTIONS
Your content goes here. Edit or remove this text inline or in the module Content settings. You can also style every aspect of this content in the module Design settings and even apply custom CSS to this text in the module Advanced settings.

- Food & Drinks: e.g. restaurants, coffeebars, breakfast, lunch, beachclubs
- Nightlife: e.g. bars, clubs, theatres, cinemas
- Attractions: e.g. museums, playgrounds,
- Experiences: Called “Specials” in the Content Manager, think of nice tours, activities, sports
- Handy info: “need-to-know” information, like nearby pharmacy, supermarket, ATM, number of taxi, your office location
In general: think of your top of mind recommendations, where you trust your guests will be treated well. You do not have to become the local TripAdvisor.

HOW TO ADD RECOMMENDATIONS/TIPS
Adding and editing tips and information is almost the same for all themes.
- Choose the theme to add a recommendation to
- Click “ADD NEW“
- Google Places is automatically “ON“, meaning that you can enter streetaddresses or the location name.
- Only set this switch to “OFF” in two cases: (1) when you know the location can be found by GPS-coordinates only. (2) when you do not need to add a location (e.g. for taxi, in case it is on/in your accommodation, or an activity or tour starts from your accommodation).
ADD TIPS WITH GOOGLEPLACES “ON”
- Search: (1) Enter the name of the location, if found you will see it appear in a drop-down list, if not found try (2) enter the full street-address, if still not found (3) Click “CANCEL”. In most cases (1) will work* . TIP: sometimes it works to modify the name: e.g. Pizzeria Maria, New York can be known to Google as Maria Pizzeria, New York. If it seems you cannot find the right location, open GoogleMaps in a separate tab in your browser and search for the location. In case the location cannot be found, then enter the full streetaddress. The pointer in the map will shift to the found location.
- Name: enter the name of the location.
- Description: free text. Keep it short and easy, so guest will understand why you give this personal recommendation
- Image: search on internet for nice picture of the location (landscape picture. File format permitted are .PNG or .JPG. Save the picture on you PC and select the picture by clicking on the paperclip.
- Other fields: not required to use, but very handy for your guest for you only have to select from each of the drop-down lists the matching description.
- Price: not required but handy for your guests. It ‘s an estimate of the budget range you think is perceived by your guests.
* In case the recommendation can be found by name: the website, telephone-number and map location are automatically added in the app.
HOW TO ADD TIPS WITH GOOGLEPLACES “OFF”
Set the Google Places switch to “OFF” in the following cases:
- you do you not need to enter a location, only a telephone-number and/or a website and free text.
- anything which takes place at your accommodation or starts at your accommodation.
- In case you cannot find the location by either its’ name or it’s address, or no address is used in the region.
Think of e.g. number of a taxi, a tour where guest are picked up at your accommodation.
You do not need to enter a location address or position: just leave all address details and Latitude & Longitude empty.
You need to point out the location: in the address details, be as complete ass possible and enter the latitude/longitude details.
How to enter latitude/longitude:
Text editor – how to add links
In all “Description” text boxes you see a text editor to create bulletlists, make text bold, italic and to set up links. Links are possible to all kinds of webbased pages, YouTube, Vimeo, GoogleDocs, DropBox as well as any website. You can also have users switch from the app to e.g. WhatsApp, SMS textmessages or direct call.
When you have entered text in the Description box create a link by:
- Selecting text you want to create the link for. (the selection turns to blue)
- Click the link symbol in the right upper menu of the Description, the linkbox will open (“Insert link“)
- Type or copy the link in the space next to “URL“
- Click “OK”, you will see the text in the box turn blue with a blue underline.
- Click “SUBMIT”
How to create different links (in the URL field):
- Telephone calls: enter “call:+countrycode telephonenumber”. Example: call:+312610979
- Whatsapp: enter “whatsapp://send?phone=yourtelephonenumber”. Example: whatsapp://send?phone=+316xxxxxxxx
- Text-messages/SMS: “sms:yourtelephonenumber”. Example: sms:+316xxxxxxxx
- E-mail: enter “mailto:youremailaddress”. Example: mailto:info@example.com
- For most other services like YouTube, GoogleDocs, DropBox etc.: they provide share-buttons which you can copy to the URL field box in the text-editor.
